CHANDIGARH IS SURROUNDED BY THREE PUNJAB ASSEMBLY SEATS.
1. KHARAR - NORTH OF CHANDIGARH (LUDHIANA-JALANDHAR ROAD)
2. MOHALI- WEST OF CHANDIGARH (SIRHIND ROAD)
3. DERABASSI/ZIRAKPUR - SOUTH OF CHANDIGARH (PATIALA ROAD, DELHI ROAD)

IN RECENT POLLS- CONGRESS HAS WON THE KHARAR AND MOHALI SEATS.
AKALI DAL HAS WON IN DERABASSI/ZIRAKPUR SEAT.

OVERALL ELECTION HAS BEEN WON BY AKALI DAL. THE GOVERNMENT WILL BE FORMED ON 14TH MARCH.

THEREFORE IT CAN BE ASSUMED THAT MOST OF THE DEVELOPMENT WILL BE SHIFTED TO ZIRAKPUR/DERABASSI AREA IN NEXT FIVE YEARS, AS OUT OF THREE, ONLY THIS TERRITORY BELONGS TO THE RUILING PARTY..

    As per my concern, Chandigarh has several other potentially nice real estate locations where one can go for the investment after the punjab election. Mohali, Panchkula and Zirakpur are 3 prime locations where real estate development is going on a very rapid rate. In all these three locations, Zirakpur is developing faster than others. Maya Garden City, a very famous project is ongoing and will be completed soon are offering 1 BHK flats in Zirakpur to 6 BHK flats in zirakpur.
